Client Description
Our client is a regional international bank with focus in Greater China. Their regional branch in Hong Kong is looking for high caliber individuals to lead their Global Banking Team, responsible for managing relationships of jumbo local and china corporates as well as multinational clients.
Responsibilities
- Identify new business directions to drive the Banks global banking business growth, and develop strategic plan to realize Banks business target on corporate banking with a focus on Large Corporate (including Local Large Corporates or Multi-National Customer segments)
- Manage a team of Relationship Managers and Assistant Relationship Mangers, and need to provide guidance and coaching for individual developments
- Monitor existing portfolio of quality trade finance business relationships and other financial products in accordance with the Banks strategy and vision
- Oversee the sales pipeline and maintenance of customer relationship with existing and prospective corporate/commercial clients by providing professional financial solutions in areas of corporate lending and trade financing;
- Advise on the origination / structuring of syndicated loans, review credit facilities, conduct credit analysis and prepare credit proposals;
- Advise on customizing financial solutions for working capital and other financial products required by corporate clients.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or equivalent academic qualification in Banking / Finance or related discipline;
- Minimum 15 years' Corporate Banking experience (in syndicated loans / project finance / trade finance), or which at least 5 years in managerial position with team management experience
- Strong market network with proven record in new clients cultivation
- Keeping abreast of industry trends, and with a sound understanding of banking regulatory requirements and risk control;
- Strong leadership, planning, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese)
- Immediately available or short notice is highly preferred
