Our client, a reputable local bank in Hong Kong, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Compliance Review Associate/Assistant Manager. This is a one-year contract position that offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our commitment to regulatory compliance and general compliance. Responsibilities: * Conduct thorough compliance reviews and assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and procedures. * Identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively. * Perform detailed analysis of existing compliance controls and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. * Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance programs are in line with the latest requirements. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, risk management, and internal audit, to address compliance issues and implement necessary changes. * Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and remediation plans for senior management and regulatory authorities. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as finance, business, or law. * Solid understanding of Hong Kong regulatory requirements, particularly in the banking industry. * Experience in compliance, risk management within the financial services sector, preferably in a local bank. * Fluency in English and Chinese (both written and spoken) is required.
