Assistant Manager – Transformation and Architecture (Up to 65K)
Responsibilities:
- Assist supervisor to develop IT project pipeline and communicate with stakeholders
- Assist supervisor to define and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision to ensure the system or Solution is fit for its intended purpose and ongoing IT development
- Onboard proper technologies or approaches by taking consideration of benefits, on total cost of ownership including ease of management, such as event-driven architecture and request-driven architecture, distributed computing, and centralized management
- Manage IT expense and budget to align with IT and business strategy
- Plan, direct, control and deliver Technology enablement projects and Proof of Concept to ensure successful achievement of the implementation schedule, targeted result, and desired business benefit within budget
- Manage project risks & escalate project issues to Supervisor/Head of IT & Functional Business Heads
- Manage other projects or assignments as assigned
Qualifications:
- University Degree in Computer Science or IT related disciplines
- Minimum 6 years' experience of delivering enterprise solutions
- A good understanding on insurance business, systems and processes
- Familiar with Containerization, Serverless, microservice architecture style
- Familiar with cloud services models (IaaS / SaaS / PaaS)
- Familiar with data governance principles, frameworks and best practices
- Proficiency in data management tools and technologies, such as data cleaning, metadata management, and data quality control
- Experience on project management, solution architecture design, various development approaches (TDD /BDD / DDD), technologies, frameworks, and/or other methodologies applicable to assigned domain
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with different business units, back-office teams and IT
- Previous experience in handling IT budget
Core Administration System Manager (Non-Life) (Up to 75K)
Responsibilities:
- Assist IT Managers to prepare and implement IT strategic plan ensuring the plans and goals are supporting the achievement of targeted financial measures
- Monitor IT systems, policies and procedures to ensure IT processes and systems are operating in the most efficient and efficient manner
- Implement the Group compliance policy in order to adhere to the relevant compliance procedures
- Maintain key internal relationships to facilitate understanding and securing IT support to business and financial plans
- Design and develop comprehensive, robust, efficient policy admin system with Straight-Through integration with various front-end platforms
- Identify options for possible solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability
- Prepare functional specification and system documentation as well as supporting users on change control and system updates
- Coach, supervise and train team members to deliver high performance
- Streamline system processes for system simplification
- Monitor and deliver IT projects to ensure the successful achievement of the schedule, targeted results and desired business benefits within budget
- Manage project risks and escalate project issues to supervisors /Functional Heads
- Manage projects and assignments as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree with First or Upper Second Class Honours in Computer Science or IT related disciplines
- Minimum 10 years' experience of delivering enterprise software at scale with at least 2 years in supervisory role
- Hands-on experience in Polisy/400, SMART/400 and Microservices/ETL/Messaging technologies integrating with Front-End System
- Concrete technical and domain knowledge on NonLife Insurance business
- Knowledge in SSIS, PlanetPress workflow letter engine and Tableau is preferable
- Experience with third-party libraries and integration layer is an advantage
- Experience in business requirement collection and system analysis
- Concrete knowledge on insurance business, systems and processes
- Insurance business process background and knowledge is an advantage
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, problem solving and presentation skills
- Willing to learn and self-motivated
- Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
