About the team
Deposit and Remittance Section ("DRS") is one of the operation units of the Hong Kong Administration Department of Mizuho Bank Hong Kong Branch. DRS provides operation support on Cash Management products and services to different business units, Head Office and various overseas branches. It also participates in operation and control optimization, new products and business initiative projects which supports the growth of the Bank.
Role requirements
- Support and monitor the daily operational processes, and identify the potential risks and apply control by following the internal policies and regulation requirements, market best practice to mitigate risks, enhance compliance, and safeguard organizational assets and interests;
- Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to support the operational activities including enquiries of the team;
- Handle cash management daily operations, including cross-border and domicile payment processing, account documentation processing, and reconciliation to ensure optimal cash positions and efficient operations;
- Participate in digital transformation, continuous operation optimization and improvement initiatives, leveraging data-driven insights, industry best practices, and stakeholder feedback to enhance processes, streamline workflows, and achieve operational excellence;
- Support projects and initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment, transparency, and successful project outcomes;
- Perform ad-hoc exercises as assigned by Section Head or Team Head

Competencies
- We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who can support the ad-hoc project (i.e. ISO20022 project) of operation and drive the operational excellence in a prudent manner;
- The individual should have a strong sense of commitment and responsibility;
- Support the daily operation of the team without TH's guidance and handles irregular cases by obtaining necessary guidance from line managers; and
- Has mind-set to initiate changes and improvements for higher productivity/performance; and
- Proactively acquire necessary knowledge in managing the activities of the team.
Work experience, education and skills
- University Degree with major in Banking, Finance or Accounting.
- Minimum 4 years experience of remittance processing, account opening, or back office operation in the Banking industry.
- Supervisory and project management experience are essential.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good command of PC skills including MS Office.
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
