About the team
Deposit and Remittance Section ("DRS") is one of the operation units of the Hong Kong Administration Department of Mizuho Bank Hong Kong Branch. DRS provides operation support on Cash Management products and services to different business units, Head Office and various overseas branches. It also participates in operation and control optimization, new products and business initiative projects which supports the growth of the Bank.
Role requirements
- To support the operational & administrative activities in relation to Remittance & Cash Management products and services, which include but not limited to, remittance processing, payment enquiry & investigation, FPS, and etc;
- To comply with the internal procedures, policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements, and update the internal procedure whenever is necessary;
- To liaise with both internal & external stakeholders, and support the operational activities of the section;
- To ensure daily processing / reporting are properly executed within pre-defined cut-off time and timely escalation for irregular cases, if any;
- To support the projects & ad-hoc tasks as assigned by superiors / section head;
- To support the internal account reconciliation & investigation on irregular payment;
- To support payment enquiries, amendment, charges claim, AML screening and payment cancellation instructions;
- To perform any other duties assigned by superiors / section head.
Essential Functions
- To support the operational activities in relation to remittance processing, interbank settlement, domicile payment i.e. FPS, Cash Pooling, account reconciliation, and etc;
- To support payment enquiries, amendment, charges claim, AML screening and payment cancellation instructions;
Competencies
- We are looking for an individual who is familiar with the corporate banking operation especially on payment & remittance process;
- Sound knowledge on financial accounting;
- Has a strong sense of commitment and responsibility;
- A team player with growth mind-set;
- Able to support the daily operation activities independently and handle irregular cases by obtaining necessary guidance from line managers;
- Has mind-set to initiate changes and improvements for higher productivity/performance; and
- Proactively acquire necessary knowledge in supporting the activities of the team.
Work experience, education and skills
- University Degree or above with major in Banking, Finance or Accounting.
- Around 2 years experience of remittance processing and services or back office operation in the Banking industry.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good command of PC skills including MS Office
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
