Your responsibilities As our Regional Chief Risk Officer (RCRO), you will:

The Regional Chief Risk Officer (RCRO) is primarily responsible for: - Ensuring measurement, aggregation and monitoring of corporate and fiduciary risks undertaken by DWS Investments entities across APAC, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, Japan, Taiwan, and Korea
- Ensuring implementation and compliance with relevant regulation, policies, and procedures
- Managing risks and risk controls in the region within the parameters of DWS Group risk management framework
- Reporting on risk taking and remediating risk-management deficiencies in a timely manner
2. Oversight Tasks - Implement and assess the corporate and fiduciary framework for the region in conjunction with the Global Risk Management Framework
- Oversee the resolution of risk management internal/external/regulatory findings
- Oversee the risk management program including Functional Risk Officers (Financial and Non-Financial Risk Type owners and Controllers)
- Enable appropriate engagement between DWS and DB AG Risk functions at Group and Regional levels
- Serve as the DWS escalation point for issues with services received or required from Group Risk
- Manage risks and risk controls for the DWS, including overseeing their monitoring and testing
- Be accountable for delivery of remediating actions owned by DWS Risk
- Ensure the required expertise of Risk Management staff and the adequate independence of the function in the region
3. Responsibilities - Define and maintain the risk management program for DWS in APAC
- Implement and ensures compliance with the risk management policies and procedures
- Report risks and risk-management deficiencies of DWS in APAC, and resolve such deficiencies in a timely manner
- Regularly inform the Global Chief Risk Officer and Senior Management including the DWS in APAC Boards regarding the nature of and changes to material risks undertaken by DWS in APAC, including risk-management deficiencies and emerging risks for the respective entity
- Interact with regional regulators and facilitate the regulatory review process to ensure DWS risk management framework is compliant with regional regulations
- Review strategies, policies and procedures established by DWS senior management for managing liquidity and financial risk
- Review and approve new products & business initiatives and evaluate their impact on risk profile
- Support strategic and capital planning, risk identification and control assessments
- Support DWS and DB Group leaders with defining key risk objectives and appetites for their respective areas
- Promote the adoption of Risk Culture
- Collaborate with other control functions to manage regulatory risk issues and responses
We are looking for - Advanced degree in economics, finance, or a quantitative discipline
- In-depth knowledge of risk frameworks and regulation for asset managers
- Sound understanding of financial markets, instruments, and associated risk factors
- Knowledge of investment strategies and related processes
- Ability to work in partnership with all areas of DWS
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent written and spoken English; German & Chinese are considered a plus
