The key objective of this role is to provide coordination and development of Market & Liquidity Solutions (MLS) activities, with a focus on operational and controlling aspects in particular, with a view to enhance straight -through processing and automated oversight.
- Liaising with key business units across the company or outside of the firm, including, but not limited to, MLS Team, Investment Management teams, Compliance, Legal, Investment Guidelines, Brokers, Operations Middle and Back Offices, Outsourcing partners, Third-party vendors, Tri-Party Services, Custodians, Regulators, regarding the below topics.
- Support trading desks during the financial markets opening hours
- New trading activity set up such as new fund, new broker, new instrument, new electronic trading platform, new Order Management or Execution Management system, new trader
- On going regulatory requirements on counterparties (from the counterparty perspective and from AXA IM & AXA entities perspective): AML & KYC documents to be provided
- Working closely with Technology with regards to product enhancements, projects and all matters which directly affect Trading activity and first level of control
- Establishing and maintaining governance and documentation on workflows, processes, and procedures used within MLS, and shared with other AXA IM departments or third parties. Act as the main contact for external parties on such topics.
- Helping identify and implement best practices within current trading workflows and controls; as well as within planned initiatives, taking on board changes in Regulation/Markets that could affect the way business is conducted.
Helping investigate and resolve workflow / control issues identified by traders / brokers / Operations / Compliance / Legal - MIS reporting: weekly, monthly, yearly volumes executed by MLS on all asset classes, and ad-hoc reporting queries requested by various departments and / or by clients
- Market contracts / legal agreements: providing guidance to Legal team, identifying gaps, defining priorities with traders, clarifying and providing information to brokers
- Reporting to line management, in a timely fashion and according to the rules specified in the local incident policy / procedure, issues arising from the business activities which may impact the company / clients / employees / third parties
- Taking appropriate actions to mitigate / help mitigate the risks arising from the business activities placed under the department's responsibility
- Being a source of proposal and actively involved in operational efficiency improvement
Your Profile Experience - Experience in advanced middle-office role or operational / technical support of a trading desk is a plus
Knowledge and Skills - IT literate: very good knowledge of MS Office Excel and Visual Basic macros
- Knowledge of SQL or database query language and reporting tools such as Tableau Software would be a plus
- Interest in automation - basic Python programming skills would be a plus
- Financial Industry knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
