Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Lead a matrixed team with members from various internal functional areas and external managed service providers to deliver network services end-to-end from design, implementation to operations.
- Be responsible for the technical design and governance of network across on-premises and cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate with the Cloud provider, Information Security team, and various departments to integrate network team solutions.
- Act as technical lead on network related RFI/RFPs, contracts, scope of work, and negotiate with vendors who offers the best solution in line with goals.
- Working with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technology solutions.
- Communicate with senior management across collaborative engagement and goals.
- Accountable for plan, forecast, identify, and implement resource requirements for complex network systems
- Accountable for the delivery of a variety of concurrent projects of varying scales in cooperation with other IT departments.
- Top level manager of network operations and all network support services and act as the top escalation point for complex network issues.
- Provide leadership and direction of the network team. Develop staff and retain talent
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering or an IT related discipline from a prestigious institution
- 10+ years of managerial experience in leading a network team with more than 10 persons from an enterprise-level environment, preferably in finance sector.
- Solid experience in network administration in LAN/MAN/WAN/SD-WAN/Cloud Network Architecture (AWS & Azure), Micro-Segmentation Firewall, Wireless LAN, VPN, IPS, WAF, SLB, Network Management, Performance Monitoring, and Automation Tools.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of network technologies and a vision of future trends across AWS and Azure Cloud adoptions.
- Extensive experience in designing and delivering complex network projects.
- Strong vendor management experience across negotiation and deployment.
- Significant experience in managing network operations and services, and understanding of ITIL framework.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong influencing skills to work with all levels of stakeholders.
- Excellent Communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin)
- Certifications in CCIE, Azure, and AWS would be a great plus.
