Trade Finance Role Profile - Trade Finance & Lending Sales originates and executes bank guarantee and lending facilities, export credit agency, natural resources, working capital and renewables financings for large corporate clients and subsidiaries of the banks international clients.
- Taking responsibility for selling the range of Trade Finance products to clients.
- To deliver on the agreed Sales objectives for the client portfolio and to uphold best in class client management and service levels to the existing client base.
- Work with the respective Sales Lead to execute the strategy to maintain and acquire new clients/ business.
- Assume responsibility for the content and presentation quality of relevant client proposals, responses to RFPs and RFIs, and client communications.
- Uphold relevant legal, regulatory and Bank policy requirements for all Sales activities
- Liaising with Product Management for new and innovative solutions
- Obtain pricing or product offering approval from the Country / Regional Sales and Risk & Portfolio Management for any conditions below standard" based on proper justification.
- Keeping dialogue with CRM on determining credit lines as well as DB's credit appetite (including country limits).
- Fulfil supervisory responsibilities under the DB Group and US Supervision policies and the Written Supervisory Procedures.
- Supporting the organization and management of client events (e.g. product presentations at seminars)
- Ensure timely completion of Mandatory Trainings and compliance with all risk- (non-financial and financial) related obligations (non-financial risk, financial risk, timely completion of KYC Client Periodic Review to reflect up-to-date and accurate information).
- Interacting / Cross-selling with other areas of the bank.
Requirements - Minimum background experience of 10 years in Trade Finance either in a sales or relationship management background and a solid understanding of the business, front to back.
- Strong Product knowledge in the Trade Finance Business, including Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections, Bank Guarantees, Financing products, Structured Trades, Financial Supply Chain, KYC
- Background running a team of Trade Finance specialists responsible for generating revenue.
- Good analytical skills, ability to exercise flexibility with regards to production problem solving
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and local language
- Excellent team worker, able to work in virtual global teams and a matrix organization
- Ability to work in fast paced environment, keep pace with technical innovation and maintain a broad understanding of the Trade Advisory offering
- Open minded, able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members
- Strong team spirit with ability to inspire and influence team members to achieve the team's goals, besides achieving own objective
- MS skills needed for revenue data analysis, RFPs, seminar presentation requirement
