Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Handling asset management matters, including but not limited to fund formation as well as post-formation maintenance for a range of asset management products (including SFC authorized funds, ETFs, hedge funds, FoF funds, QDII and RQFII investment related matters etc)
  • Handling discretionary management account related matters and negotiation of IMAs
  • Providing legal advice and daily support to the asset management business units within CICC
  • Providing support to Senior Legal Counsel and handling other assignments designated by Senior Legal Counsel from time to time

Skills and Abilities

  • At least three years of post-qualification experience expected, preferably gained from international law firms, asset management firms or investment banks
  • Solid legal knowledge and experience in handling asset management related matters
  • Good drafting and communication skills
  • Strong sense of responsibility, diligence, integrity and professional ethics
  • Fluent in written and spoken English & Chinese
  • Good team player

Qualifications

  • Law degree from a recognized law school
  • Qualified in UK, Hong Kong, US, Singapore or other common law jurisdictions
