Overview
Join a leading local retail bank in Hong Kong as a Manager in our Regulatory Reporting team. This is a critical checker role, reporting directly to the team head, where you will be instrumental in ensuring the integrity and compliance of our regulatory reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the preparation and submission of regulatory reports to guarantee adherence to both local and international regulations.
- Perform comprehensive reviews of regulatory reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and conformity with established standards.
- Collaborate effectively with various internal departments to collect necessary data and insights for thorough reporting.
- Stay updated on changes in regulatory requirements and ensure timely adjustments to internal reporting processes and systems.
- Mentor and support junior team members, promoting a culture of excellence in regulatory reporting practices.
- Assist in the formulation and implementation of policies and procedures related to regulatory reporting.
- Compile management reports detailing regulatory compliance status and highlight significant findings for senior leadership.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and initiatives related to regulatory reporting as directed by the team head.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a professional qualification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is desirable.
- At least 5 years of experience in regulatory reporting within the banking or financial services sector, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to retail banking in Hong Kong.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail, ensuring high accuracy in reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and VBA, with familiarity in regulatory reporting systems.
- Highly organized and adept at managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
