Role Overview:

We are helping a regional bank to look for a Deputy Head of Treasury Settlement. On this role, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the settlement operations. Leading a team of 10 talented professionals, you will focus on ensuring the smooth execution and settlement of FXMM and derivatives transactions while driving process optimization and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Treasury Settlement team, ensuring timely and accurate settlement of FXMM and derivatives transactions.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management for a team of 10.
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline settlement processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Front Office, Risk, and Compliance teams, to resolve settlement issues and ensure seamless workflows.
  • Lead and support system enhancement projects and the implementation of new technologies to improve operational capabilities.
  • Monitor and manage settlement-related risks, implementing controls to mitigate potential exposures.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in treasury settlement, with significant exposure to FXMM and derivatives.
  • Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing and developing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of settlement systems, processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken Chinese (Cantonese) and English
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
