Overview
An exclusive role to recruit for for a Head of Financial Institutions to join an international bank and lead a small team to manage and grow a portfolio of Bank and Non-Bank Financial Institutions sector.
Role Responsibilities
- Be responsible to develop and lead new FI North Asia business relationships; including Banks and other Non-Bank FI clients
- Lead and provide effective leadership and strategic guidance to direct reports
- Lead the way on culture and values to help set the appropriate tone across the FI team
- Promote client strategies which maximize value for the bank, having regard to the Bank's risk appetite and capabilities
- With local stakeholders, develop and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers with key FIs and regulators
- Provide focus and direction to Product partners to ensure focus on clients and business that make sense for the franchise and where the Bank can differentiate
- Drive the FI business ethos, emphasizing cross-sell, long term relationship development and above hurdle rate returns
- Keep up-to-date with market competitive dynamics and industry conditions that impact opportunity and portfolio performance
Requirements
- 18-20 years' Corporate banking (FI) experience with Greater China exposure from leading international banks
- Experience in motivating teams and managing people across borders, setting and achieving goals to drive a high performance culture
- Strong communicator and stakeholder management skills in English and Mandarin
- Strategic mindset with ability to develop long-term business plans to grow a business
- Strong risk management acumen with experience in managing credit, financial crime, regulatory, reputational and operational risks
- Product knowledge in product knowledge in FI Transaction Banking (Cash and Trade), Loans and Syndications, Capital Markets, Treasury and Banking Operations
- Bachelor's Degree; Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACCA, CPA, FRM are desirable
