Responsibilities:
  • Act as a financial markets master agreement (e.g. ISDA/ NAFMII/ CDEA/ GMRA / GMSLA / Clearing agreements) know-how expert and negotiate financial markets master agreements and regulatory margin related documents (e.g. Initial Margin, Variation Margin documentation) for Hong Kong head office and Southeast Asia affiliates
  • Liaise with external & internal stakeholders (including Risk Management, Collateral Management, Legal, Compliance and Business, etc.) to proceed negotiations
  • Perform due diligence on counterparty's capacity and authority to enter into documentation
  • Maintain in-house templates and keep proper record and repository of master agreements both executed and under negotiation- Assist in responding to day-to-day queries from the internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate bank-wide and cross-departmental projects and assist in preparing management reports
Requirements:
  • 3 years or above experience (the rank and title of the position would be adjusted subject to relevant experience) in financial markets master agreement negotiations preferably in a leading multinational financial institution and/or a reputable law firm
  • Degree or above, majoring in law, finance or business management
  • Solid understanding of financial markets and relevant regulations, especially derivative products
  • Able to work independently and effectively within time, resources and budget constraints and is capable of making routine decisions independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Fluency in Putonghua is strongly preferred.
