Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and implement business strategies to achieve agreed business targets
  • Identify new broker partners/ new business lines with promising business potential and good quality in the market. Make recommendation for accepting new brokers which are able to align with DSI's business strategic goals and risks appetite
  • Foster relationships with existing business partners and make proposal to deepen the brokers' wallet from existing relationship. Pay visits to brokers to agree business targets and areas of collaboration
  • Manage sales performance of various lines of business by conducting regular business review of brokers. Recommend suitable incentive schemes and motivate lower tier of brokers to progress to higher tiers. Propose discussion topics and facilitate the discussion of sales to keep awareness of overall market trend to internal stakeholders
  • Prepare and present detailed monthly sales reports including channel performance, market trends and competitor analysis; provide regular updates to senior management on sales performance and market developments
  • Monitor business activities of sales force and act as a point of contact for escalated underwriting issues and complex customers' enquiries
  • Review and update broker/agency agreements and other contracts to ensure the compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Collaborate with legal, compliance and underwriting teams to ensure all sales related contracts adhere to regulatory standard and company policies
  • Lead and mentor the distribution team, fostering a high-performance culture; Provide training to brokers and agents to enhance their sales capabilities on DSI products
To meet the challenge, you should have the following qualifications and attributes:
  • University degree in relevant disciplines, preferably with ACII, ANZII (Snr Assoc) or other insurance professional qualifications
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in general insurance sales management
  • Familiarity with requirements of the HK Insurance Authority regulatory frameworks and practices in Hong Kong insurance industry
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and managerial skills
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
