About the team
Japanese Corporate Section1 is responsible for maintaining and developing banking business activities with Japanese companies especially belonging to industries such as ICT, Semiconductor, Electronic Components, Automotive, Automobile Component, Resource & Material, General Trading Company and Industrial Electric Machinery.
Role requirements
- To visit and maintain close contact as well as good relationship with existing customers;
- Explore and onboard new clients according to management's guidance;
- To provide transaction banking services such as loan, deposit, FX, trade finance and investment banking services etc. to our customers
- To prepare credit application/call memo/instruction sheet and all the necessary reports/documents relating to customers;
- Collaborate with other departments (product partners, middle and back office and sales support etc) to identify cross-selling opportunities and response to customer inquiries;
Essential Functions
- To act as a professional business promotion staff and to provide banking service to clients and deliver outstanding business results.
- Contribute to improve the business results of Japanese Corporates Section in collaboration with credit analysis team, operations sections, overseas branches and other product partners;
- Assist the team to achieve profit target set by management.
- Decision on all matters related to banking business.
- To guide lower-grade staff if necessary.

- The individual should develop strategies to maximize revenue for the department, team, and individuals, as well as originate new deals starting from customer and industry knowledge.
- The individual should respect for and commit to high standards of business conduct and integrity in conducting operations, reporting and etc.
Work experience, education and skills
- Bachelor degree in any disciplines; Business related preferred.
- Minimum 6-8+ experience in corporate banking or sizeable trading company or sizeable manufacturer etc.
- Experience in client relationship management and/or credit analysis; with product knowledge in transaction banking, loan, syndication loan, FX/derivatives is desirable.
- Good team player with excellent communication skills and presentation skills;
- Native Cantonese and fluent in English; Good Japanese (min. N2 level) & Mandarin would be a plus;
- Proficiency in MS Words, Excel & Power point, etc.
