The Role
As a Junior Operational Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the funds middle office and operational activities. You will work closely with traders, portfolio managers, compliance, and external counterparties to ensure the seamless execution of operational processes. This position provides hands-on exposure to hedge fund operations, including trade lifecycle management, cash and position reconciliations, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
Trade Lifecycle Management:
Assist in trade capture, confirmation, and settlement across a wide range of asset classes (equities, fixed income, derivatives, etc.).
Monitor and ensure timely and accurate trade execution.
Collaborate with traders and portfolio managers to address trade discrepancies or issues.
Reconciliation & Reporting:
Perform daily cash and position reconciliations between internal systems, prime brokers, custodians, and administrators.
Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks promptly.
Generate and distribute P&L reports, NAV statements, and other operational reports to stakeholders.
Counterparty Coordination:
Liaise with prime brokers, custodians, and counterparties to ensure smooth workflows.
Facilitate the onboarding of new accounts and counterparties.
Risk & Compliance Support:
Work alongside the risk and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Assist in monitoring margin calls, collateral management, and other risk-related processes.
Process Improvement & Automation:
Identify inefficiencies in current processes and propose solutions for optimization.
Partner with technology teams to streamline workflows and implement system enhancements.
What The Client is Looking For
Educational Background:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
Experience:
0-3 years of experience in a financial operations, middle office, or back-office role.
Internships in asset management, hedge funds, investment banks, fund admin, audit or similar institutions are highly valued.
Skill Sets:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with acute attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SQL, VBA or Python is a must.
Knowledge of financial instruments and trade workflows is advantageous.
