Our client, a prestigious investment banking firm, is seeking a dynamic and proactive Technical Support Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technological background, a commitment to delivering exceptional service, and a genuine enthusiasm for professional growth. Familiarity with financial markets and trade lifecycle processes will be an advantage.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Diagnose and resolve PC-related hardware, printer, and software issues, escalating to second-level IT support or third-party vendors as necessary.
  • Install and troubleshoot various computer-related tasks, including network, systems, printers, IPT, software, and hardware.
  • Provide support for dealerboard systems and daily office automation systems.
  • Function as an IT helpdesk representative, handling support calls during assigned shifts.
  • Manage user requests for purchases and service subscriptions.
  • Update IT inventory, documentation, and procedures.
  • Oversee the internal relocation of PCs, LCDs, and printers.
  • Set up and troubleshoot internal video conference meetings.

Required Skills for the Role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or similar.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical support, including network administration and system operations.
  • Proficient with market data systems and third-party applications, such as Reuters, Bloomberg, EBS, and Etrali.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, MS Exchange, and MS SQL.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with users at all levels; ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
  • Availability for shift work, on-call support, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Candidates with experience in front office and private banking support will be preferred.
  • Successful candidates will be offered a permanent position.
