Job Summary: Being a Senior Workplace Virtualization Engineer, you will be the Level 3 support of Workplace Virtualization Technology under Workplace Technology team in Infrastructure & Operations organization, working with technical SMEs across Core Desktop Engineering, M365/Collaboration Technologies team, IT infrastructure team and Information Security team to deliver an optimal end user compute platform supporting 2,000+ staff in a hybrid workspace.
Job Duties: Responsibilities - Design and implement the enterprise level Remote Access, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Application Virtualization service to meet business needs
- Manage and optimize the existing virtualization environments to maintain system stability and comply with organizations policies and standards
- Implement golden image, application profiling solutions to streamline OS build and patch efficiencies
- Integrate diverse endpoint management solutions in both Session Hosted and Dedicated Hosted environments supporting general purpose and power users
- Swiftly address service issues and drive problem actions to maintain productivity.
- Proactive monitor system performance and user experience with custom performance dashboards using endpoint analytics and statistic modelling tools
- Analyze performance trends and drive proactive improvement actions as part of demand and capacity management
- Automate infrastructure maintenance tasks including system backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity tests
- Provide guidance, training, and feedback to Level 1 and 2 support teams. Drive enhancement to key SOPs to improve end user support and vulnerability management targets as a team
- Manage vendor to ensure the highest quality delivery and implementation
Requirements - Minimum 8 years experience in VDI service operations and solution engineering.
- Proficiency in desktop and application virtualization solutions, eg Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp/NetScaler ADM and WAF, Sangfor aDesk, Omnissa Horizon, etc
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, Shell script, Python, etc) to automate administrative tasks
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, databases, storage systems and virtualization technologies
- Experience in evaluation of commercial solutions and large-scale migration among Citrix, Omnissa Horizon, Azure Virtual Desktop, and other DaaS platforms
- Experience in IT Service Management / IT Operations Manager process with ServiceNow is added advantage
- Strong customer centric and result-oriented mindset.

- Ability to communicate and influence different levels of stakeholders, and build consensus effectively.
- Occasionally work on weekends and/or irregular working hours are required
- Candidate with less experience will be considered as Workplace Virtualization Engineer
