About the team
Systems Operation Section (SOP) is responsible for System Daily Operations for both Head Office systems and local EUC systems. SOP also provides IT support for hardware, software installation and maintenance as well as Field Support services to the business users. In addition, SOP is also holding responsibility for the promotion and implementation of IT solution projects.
The Identification and Database Management Team (IDMT) is responsible for Identity Asset Management (IAM) and Database Management System (DBMS) for both Head Office and Local users. Including but not limited to Creating and assigning digital identities to employees; Ensuring users have appropriate levels of access to systems; Defining and enforcing access policies based on job roles; Creating and maintaining database schemas to ensure optimal data organization; Monitoring and optimizing database performance and Defining long-term database strategies to align with organizational goals.
Role requirements
- Manage, approve and check all database setting of Head Office systems or EUC systems.
- Identify potential threats of and report on security violations by determining causes, possible solutions and remedial actions required for ensuring data security.
- Implement and test disaster recovery protocols for existing and new systems.
- Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Lead database administrator and provide mentorship to subordinate.
Essential Functions
Manage database-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, new deployments etc. and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database systems align with organizational goals.

Work experience, education and skills
- Degree holder of Computer Science, IT or relevant discipline;
- Minimum 5 years related experience in Database with focus on database management in financial industry;
- 2 years of experience in people management would be an advantage;
- Proficiency in MS Windows Server administration and integration with SQL Server environments;
- Familiarity with database monitoring tools (e.g. SolarWinds, SQL Server Profiler and/or other system monitoring tools);
- Knowledge of disaster recovery implementation; Knowledge in Linux and Unix OS would be an advantage;
- Holder of CISA, CISM or equivalent certification would be beneficial; and Proficient in spoke and written English.
