Test Lead - Insurance Domain

The ideal candidate will have strong mobile/application testing expertise (both front-end and back-end), with a focus on automation (70%) while maintaining manual testing capabilities (30%). You will design frameworks, write test scripts, and collaborate with cross-border teams (Hong Kong developers and Mainland China testers).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead end-to-end testing for insurance applications (consultation/data systems), covering functional, integration, and regression testing.

  2. Develop and maintain automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium) using TDD/BDD approaches.

  3. Write and execute test scripts (must have developer-level coding skills to build frameworks from scratch).

  4. Collaborate with Hong Kong developers (Cantonese-speaking) and Mainland China testers to align on quality standards.

  5. Prioritize automation while ensuring manual testing coverage for critical workflows.

  6. Define test strategies, metrics, and reports to track system quality and defects.



Requirements:

  • Must-have:

    • 5+ years in testing insurance applications (policy admin, claims, or underwriting systems).

    • Strong mobile/app testing experience (iOS/Android, APIs, databases).

    • Expertise in test automation (Python/Java/JavaScript) and framework design.

    • Developer background (ability to write clean, maintainable code for test frameworks).

    • Hands-on with TDD or BDD (e.g., Cucumber, Gherkin).

    • Fluent in Cantonese (to work with HK devs) and English (for China team coordination).

  • Nice-to-have:

    • Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab).

    • Performance testing (e.g., JMeter).
