Community Investments

The Community Investments function drives and implements the Bank's community investments strategy and programmes and staff volunteer activities. We work closely with our community partners to develop, launch and execute corporate responsibility programmes that help enhance social and environmental well-being relevant to present day needs.
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join us as
Head of Community Investments, reporting to Head of Corporate Communications and Community Investments.
Principal Responsibilities - Lead a small team to support the Bank in driving its community investments strategy and developing initiatives for community good, promoting the Bank's corporate citizenship.
- Enhance brand equity by developing and implementing proactive external and internal communications strategies and campaigns to highlight the Bank's CSR efforts and standing as a good corporate citizen.
- Drive effective engagement with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the effective use of the Bank's charitable donations and sponsorships budget.
- Provide guidance for internal and external events and functions where the Bank supports community investment activities.
- Establish and maintain a robust control environment across the department to ensure compliance with HSBC Group policy and procedures, along with early identification and resolution or escalation of issues.
- Advise other subsidiaries on community investments strategy and initiatives.
Requirements - Significant experience in CSR for sizeable corporations.
- In-depth understanding of ESG trends and requirements.
- Ability to identify and lead new and innovative community programs and manage complex projects under tight deadlines.
- Innovative thinking with strong leadership skills to work directly with senior management.
- Strong and extensive communication skills to generate impact and external recognition.
- Good sensitivity to public, social, and environmental issues.
- A strong sense of ownership and a service mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service.
