The firm is expanding its capital-raising footprint in Asia, with a dedicated focus on single- and multi-family offices across Singapore, Hong Kong, Greater China, and Southeast Asia.

Role Overview

The Investor Relations Manager will own the end-to-end relationship lifecycle with family offices in Asia. Reporting to the CIO, you will identify, educate, pitch, close, and service family office allocations while ensuring seamless coordination with portfolio management, operations, and compliance teams.

Key Responsibilities

Prospecting & Pipeline Development

  • Build and maintain a proprietary database of 200+ Asia-based family offices (SFOs/MFOs) using CRM, industry events, referrals, and proprietary research.

Pitch & Capital Raising

  • Deliver tailored presentations (live and virtual) highlighting strategy, edge, track record, risk framework, and terms.
  • Lead due-diligence processes: coordinate DDQs, on-site visits, reference calls, and third-party background checks.
  • Negotiate side letters, MFN provisions, capacity rights, and fee structures within approved parameters.
  • Target $75-150 mm in new commitments annually from family offices.

Relationship Management & Servicing

  • Serve as the primary point of contact post-allocation; host quarterly update calls, annual strategy reviews, and ad-hoc portfolio deep dives.
  • Translate complex P&L attribution and risk metrics into family-office-friendly narratives.
  • Manage capital events: redemptions, transfers, successor planning, and generational transitions.

Market Intelligence & Feedback Loop

  • Attend key family office forums (e.g., SSSG, Opal, iConnections Asia, Campden Wealth).
  • Relay competitive intelligence, liquidity terms, and governance preferences to the investment committee.

Compliance & Operations

  • Ensure all marketing materials and communications comply with SFC, MAS, and SEC (if applicable) rules.
  • Coordinate with fund administrators for custom transparency reports, K-1s, and tax packages.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years in hedge fund investor relations, Fintech SaaS Sales, family office advisory; existing Asia family office relationships a must.
  • Proven track record of closing family offices
  • Deep knowledge of hedge fund structures (offshore master-feeder, mini-master, managed accounts) and Asian regulatory nuances.
  • Native or fluent Mandarin or Cantonese is preferred; professional English mandatory.
