Our client, a leading global universal bank, is looking for an expert Lead Java Developer to drive the design and build of their next-generation trading platform across multiple regions.
Responsibilities:
- Design & Implement Low-Latency Solutions: Own the technical architecture and development of core components for the Trading platform, focusing on performance-critical areas.
- Performance Engineering: Deeply optimize Core Java (JVM) applications for predictable, sub-millisecond latency. Expertise in concurrency, garbage collection tuning, and memory-efficient coding techniques is essential.
- Front Office Partnership: Work directly with Traders, Quants, and Product Managers to translate complex financial requirements into robust, scalable, and high-quality software solutions.
- Technical Roadmap & Leadership: Define the future-state architecture, advocating for modern patterns like Microservices and adopting cutting-edge technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Mentorship and Code Quality: Drive best-in-class engineering practices, including TDD, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines, while mentoring a talented team of developers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Expert-level Java with mastery over concurrency, GC, data structures, etc.
- Deep domain knowledge of OTC Derivatives and their application within Synthetic Trading and Prime Brokerage systems.
- Minimum 15 years of professional software development experience, with a significant portion in a Front Office or Trading Technology environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with technical and business stakeholders globally.
