We are seeking an
Event and Video Conferencing (VC) Support /SME to support the day-to-day operations of event management systems and video conferencing endpoints. This role is to provide operational support, maintenance, and subject-matter expertise across our office buildings, which include a mix of BYOD meeting rooms, Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) systems, and legacy VC equipment. This role will focus on delivering seamless experiences for internal VIPs, stakeholders, and employees.
This role will work closely with:

- Group VC/AV Engineering Team
- Property Services Department (PSD)
- Corporate Brand & Communications (B &C)
The technician will support day-to-day VC/AV operations, townhalls, executive meetings, and live hybrid events across multiple HK and Singapore sites. The ideal candidate is hands-on, presentable, customer-focused, and capable of communicating confidently in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
Key Responsibilities 1. VC/AV Operations & Troubleshooting - Provide daily operational support for meeting room VC equipment (BYOD rooms, legacy VC systems, and Microsoft Teams Rooms).
• Maintain and support conferencing and audio-visual systems, including event-related systems such as Crestron/Extron control systems, Video Matrix switchers, Product knowledge on Extron, Crestron, Biamp, QSC, Dante audio devices, and other DSP, AV mixers, or control platforms.
• Provide live event support, with a strong focus on hybrid and virtual events.
• Demonstrate a solid understanding of streaming concepts and workflows.
• Read and interpret basic system line diagrams and technical schematics.
• Understand fundamental network infrastructure, with emphasis on AV and media networks.
• Independently diagnose and resolve system faults and technical issues.
• Manage and troubleshoot video conferencing platforms, including WebEx, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
• Liaise with vendors to coordinate technical support, equipment replacement, and issue resolution within required timelines.
• Provide high-quality customer and technical support, including for VIP and executive-level stakeholders.
• Understand basic system design principles and interpret technical concepts to clients and end users.
• Manage small-scale AV/VC system projects and collaborate effectively with internal teams, external trades, and vendors.
- Perform health checks on all AV/VC systems, ensuring equipment readiness before business hours.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving:
- Cameras, microphones, speakers
- Displays, projectors, control panels
- MTR systems (Teams-certified hardware)
- HDMI/USB connectivity (BYOD)
- Room booking and calendar integration
2. Event & Townhall Support - Provide on-site AV/VC support for townhalls, hybrid events, leadership meetings, and livestreams.
- Operate event equipment:
- Mixer, switcher, microphones, PTZ cameras, encoders
- Webinars, MS Teams Live Events, Zoom, or enterprise streaming platforms
- Conduct rehearsals , technical run-throughs, and production setup.
- Support audio, lighting, video feeds, and recording as needed.
- Coordinate logistics with PSD, Corporate Communications, and site teams.
- Able to travel between HK office locations when required.
Key Requirements Technical Skills • Relevant Audio-Visual certifications from vendors such as Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Shure, or Sennheiser.
• Proven hands-on experience in troubleshooting and supporting audio-visual systems.
• Proven practical experience in Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR) system troubleshooting and support.
• Self-motivated professional with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong technical problem-solving and analytical troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to follow established processes and rapidly learn new technologies and systems.
• Effective time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft Teams Rooms (Logitech, Crestron, Lenovo, HP, Poly, etc.)
- Legacy VC systems (Cisco, Polycom)
- BYOD meeting room setups
- Audio systems: DSPs, ceiling/desk microphones, speakers
- Video systems: projectors, flat panels, switchers, AV-over-IP
- Knowledge of:
- Enterprise networks (basic), Wi-Fi dependency for devices
- Room booking systems (Exchange/Outlook/Teams room mailbox integration)
- Video streaming and encoding equipment
- Ability to perform hardware-level troubleshooting onsite.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts is an advantage.
• Experience or familiarity with Crestron or Extron programming is a plus.
• Knowledge of SIP telephony and Microsoft Teams Phone solutions is advantageous.
• Good to have CTS certification.
• Good to have CCNA certification.
Soft Skills - Presentable, professional, user-focused, and service-oriented.

- Ability to support senior executives with calmness and discretion.
- Strong teamwork with IT, PSD, and Group VC Engineering.
Qualifications and Experience: - Experience in VC/AV technical support (banking or MNC preferred).
- Experience in onsite events, hybrid townhalls, or livestreaming.
- Experience operating Teams Rooms, legacy VC systems, and AV control systems.
- Vendor/contractor management experience is an advantage.
