Overview
Our client is a foreign corporate investment bank with stable growth across the Asia Pac region. We are looking for a Vice President (VP) – Financial Control to join the APAC Finance team in Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities

- Lead the APAC Finance internal control and governance , ensuring reporting processes and financial controls are tested and aligned with Global requirements.
- Establish and maintain processes for ongoing control reviews, documentation validation, and quarterly reporting submissions.
- Oversee operational risk activities, including incident reporting, self-assessments, and change initiative evaluations.
- Serve as the primary liaison with auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders, fostering strong relationships across APAC.
- Monitor regulatory compliance activities, including the effectiveness reporting process and procedures, committee meetings, and responses to global reports.
- Evaluate control deficiencies, remediation plans, and regulatory changes to ensure timely and effective resolution.
Requirements

- Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Qualified in CPA, ACCA ore equivalent
- At least 8-12 years of experience in Big 4 audit plus financial control/ financial reporting risk/ finance operational risk gained from the banking sector
- Big 4 trained auditors with solid banking experience in legal entity control, financial reporting, or regulatory reporting are also welcome
- Strong risk and control mindset, ability to execute and deliver initiatives independently across APAC
- Fluent in spoken and written English
