ANNUAL LEAVE

Can a domestic helper use her 14 days of leave entitlement but not leave Hong Kong? For ex. in the coming CNY, a helper would like to request a 4 days leave deducting it to the 14 days but would like to spend those 4 days here in Hong Kong staying out overnight .

I understand that if you already spent 1 year with the employer you are entitle to take 7 days leave with your own expenses if going back to home country. Would it make a big difference if just stay here in Hong Kong in a hotel somewhere?

ED's Note -  I think the helper can remain in Hong Kong but you should confirm with Hong Kong Immigration
