Extending Fillipino DH visa in Australia from 6 weeks to 12 weeks?

Hi There,

We will be traveling to Australia and planning to bring our helper with us. I know that there is a possibility for upto 6 weeks visa for Fillipino DH to stay in Australia with the employer. Does anyone know a way of extending this time for 6 more weeks?

I'm hearing second hand stories (thus couldn't learn the details of the process) of people traveling with their helpers on 6 weeks visa and extending it to a total of 12 weeks while they are in Australia.

Any information will be appreciated.

KUAFOR, Although there are precedent cases of different scenarios, I think the most appropriate and accurate answer should be from the visa issuing authority as it is really judged on case basis by them. Even you have an answer YES or NO here doesn't mean that you will get the same from them. Directly seeking their advice should save you more time and resource in digging ( probably to the wrong direction).
