Hi All,
Our maid will leave after 11 years working with us. I am torn for a departing gift.
I need help for understanding what do you think is right. If it is money, how much? If it is a gift what kind of direction?
More about her: Our kids were 2 and new born. She will remain in HK for a couple of years and then marry overseas and change life. She is a single Filipina mum with 3 young adults children. Of course we will pay the long service/severance package. It is a (friendly) contract break so she will go to the Philippines soon. She was paid the regular standard salary.
