I have recently found out my domestic helper is pregnant (by her husband who works in Macau). She plans to have the baby in Hong Kong and would like to stay for a while afterwards.
Unfortunately I have a rather aggressive dog at home and I am not comfortable with having a newborn live there as well.
I don't like the idea of sending a newborn back to their village in Indonesia either. I think it would be great if they could avail themselves of antenatal care here. I would happily sign her husband also if that is possible and put them up somewhere short-term but not sure if that is an option?
She has worked for me for 8 years and I have come to regard her as a family member.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
