I got mine from the wellcome supermarket at Repulse Bay. I think $270 for a box and you get 5 tests in a box. They also sell clear blue pregnancy test too.

The machine?
They come in a box of 5, so you can test over 5 days, from about day 9-11, and they work just like a pregnancy test.
Never heard of the machine, what does it do?

I got mine in Singapore, i haven't seen it here yet, i will let you know if i've seen one.
Yes, i have the machine and not the test kit which everyone thought it is. This is pretty accurate as you would know your ovulation days 5 days (?) before you have your surge. Unlike the test kit, it only shows 1 day before. So if you want more timing, you can make love 5 days before you ovulate then you can have higher chance.
It didn't work for me though ;-) but i have a friend who got preggy with this. Good luck!

I also use a similar machine - sounds to me like the one Lena NL uses, but again, not available here. It's called Persona, and is available in Boots or other pharmacies in the UK and Europe. It's original use is as a contraceptive, and I think it is the best thing since sliced bread, for both 'natural' contraception and ovulation testing. Absolutely brilliant. It will tell you when your hormone levels are rising so that ovulation is on the way, and then will pinpoint the exact day you ovulate - perfect for TTC. If you can get someone over there to send you one, that would be the best way to do it. Here's the website:

Good luck Brigitte. Firsttimemom - it is really a life changing invention. Has made such a difference to me I can't begin to tell you. Has a few little quirks which take getting used to, but all in all, the best contraception I could imagine (if you don't fancy chemicals/barrier methods), and knowing your cycle intimately is really enlightening. If anyone wants any more information on it, such as the little tips I've picked up along the way, feel free to PM me.

I got the Clear Blue monitor you're referring to in the States at a CVS. It was the first time I'd seen one, hadn't seen it here. It's a good little machine, but you do have to pay attention to use it correctly. Read the booklet as soon as you get it so you don't miss a month like I did (you have to start by day 5 of your cycle, not wait until you are nearing ovulation)
It is an expensive though, I paid US$200 for the machine and then another US$50 for a pack of 30 test sticks (3 mo worth), so your e-bay price is in line. Keep in mind you'll need to have someone to send you replacement test sticks though, unless of course you get pregnant straight away. (If you don't get pregnant pretty quickly, you and your husband should probably get checked out by a fertility specialist)

Following the advise given above, I purchased the Clearblue fertility monitor and the testing sticks from US and had them shipped to HK, only to find out I was already pregnant!!!

Just to say that the 'Amazon' website in the uk do have companies that ship the monitor and sticks- that's how I got mine! When you go on the website, choose as many companies products as you can and when you go to the check out, it will show you who will ship it to HK and who won't, you can then select and delete the others before purchasing. I buy the sticks every month this way.
