My husband is in a trouble regarding his hk visa

My husband work as a domestic helper .he is 4 month to hk .he got original working visa for 2 years but immigration give him visa until 2016/05/11 .becouse his passport going to expire next month 11th .so he apply his new passport and it will take a month to finish .we went to immigration to extend his visa until we get new passport.but they refused.they need his new passport only .my question is can he stay 14 more days after his last day ? Or what shall we do next ? Please help .TIA
