Electronic Trading Systems & Reliability Engineer (Fidessa)

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance, enhancement, and upgrade of Fidessa electronic trading platforms, including institutional execution systems.
• Act as the primary Level 1 support lead for retail trading applications during Hong Kong trading hours, ensuring system stability and timely issue resolution.
• Manage incident response, release cycles, system monitoring improvements, and capacity planning initiatives.
• Partner closely with traders, sales traders, and operations teams (middle and back office) to gather requirements and deliver effective technology solutions.
• Coordinate with external vendors and exchanges to ensure seamless system integration and operational continuity.
• Continuously improve system performance, resilience, scalability, and overall operational excellence.

• Strong hands-on experience supporting and administering Fidessa.
• Solid understanding of Hong Kong equity and derivatives markets, including trade execution workflows.
• Proven track record in leading system upgrades, enhancements, and cross-functional projects with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• 5-12 years of experience within financial services, preferably in trading technology or application support roles.
• Good knowledge of financial markets, trading strategies, and front-to-back trade lifecycle.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively in fast-paced environments.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is required.
• Familiarity with AI tools or automation techniques is advantageous.
