Finance Manager – Investment Firm

About the job

You will be leading the firm’s corporate accounting function, overseeing financial reporting and control processes while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong governance standards. At the same time, you will be driving the adoption of automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability, and data integrity across finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee full-set accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end/year-end close processes
  2. Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS / HKFRS
  3. Manage consolidation across entities within the group structure
  4. Ensure timely and accurate regulatory and statutory reporting
  5. Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements
  6. Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
  7. Support tax planning and filings in collaboration with external advisors
  8. Lead automation initiatives across finance functions (e.g., reporting, reconciliations, workflows)
  9. Identify inefficiencies and implement technology-driven solutions (RPA, ERP enhancements, data tools)
  10. Partner with IT and external vendors to develop scalable finance systems
  11. Drive data integrity and real-time reporting capabilities

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  2. Qualified accountant (CPA / ACCA / CA or equivalent)
  3. Over 5 years of experience, preferably within investment firms
  4. Strong knowledge of corporate accounting, consolidation, and reporting standards
  5. Proven experience in finance automation, digital transformation, or system implementation
  6. Hands-on experience with ERP systems and data tools (e.g., Power BI, Python, Alteryx) is highly preferred
  7. Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
  8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
