Manager (Checker), KYC/CDD, Private Banking

Your new company

A well-developed bank is looking for a Manager with 4-5 years' experience, to support the Private Banking business by performing periodic client onboarding and KYC/ CDD/ SOW assessments, ensuring client due diligence is completed accurately, timely, and in line with AML/CFT and regulatory requirements.

Your new role

• 
  Review and approve KYC/CDD files (onboarding, periodic and event-driven reviews) for Private Banking clients, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  
• 
  Validate client risk ratings, beneficial ownership structures, and SOW/SOF assessments in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  
• 
  Assess and clear name screening alerts (sanctions, PEP, adverse media) with proper documentation and rationale.
  
• 
  Ensure compliance with AML/CFT regulations and escalate high-risk or suspicious cases to Compliance/MLRO as appropriate.
  
• 
  Provide guidance and feedback to KYC makers and Front Office (RMs) to improve documentation quality and turnaround time.
  
• 
  Support audits, regulatory reviews, and remediation exercises with strong control and documentation standards.
  
• 
  Identify process gaps and contribute to enhancements in KYC/CDD procedures, controls, and systems.
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• 
  5 years of experience in client onboarding and KYC/ CDD/ periodic review and Source of Wealth within private banking or financial institutions
  
• 
  Basic understanding of AML/CFT regulations and SOW/SOF concepts
  
• 
  Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and written documentation ability
