Regulatory Compliance Manager - International Corporate Bank

Key responsibilities:

• Lead regulatory compliance across Hong Kong and Mainland China by overseeing compliance frameworks, monitoring activities, governance controls, and adherence to evolving regulatory requirements
• Manage relationships with regulatory authorities, coordinate regulatory communications, and ensure accurate, timely submissions, filings, and responses across the organisation
• Drive cross-functional and regional compliance initiatives by partnering with stakeholders across the Asia network to implement new regulations and maintain consistent governance standards
• Oversee key compliance processes, including Reputational Risk Assessments (RRA) and New Product Approvals, providing regulatory guidance to support sound business decisions and risk management
• Own compliance reporting and training by delivering management reports, developing annual compliance training programmes, and promoting organisation-wide regulatory awareness and compliance culture

Candidate profile:

• Degree or professional compliance qualification with at least 10 years' banking compliance experience, including leadership responsibilities in regulated financial institutions
• Strong knowledge of Hong Kong and Mainland China regulatory frameworks, cross-border banking regulations, compliance monitoring, regulatory advisory, and regulatory change management
• Proven experience supporting regional or cross-border banking operations, collaborating with regulators, business stakeholders, and multi-jurisdictional teams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and provide practical compliance guidance
• Fluent in Mandarin and English, with willingness to travel regularly between Hong Kong and Mainland China
