A leading regional broker is expanding its IT team and hiring a senior infrastructure manager in Hong Kong. Sweet spot SVP/Director level.

Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Administration

  1. Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and enterprise applications.
  2. Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and related infrastructure services.
  3. Monitor system performance, capacity utilization, and availability of IT infrastructure.
  4. Implement system upgrades, patch management, and lifecycle management.
  5. Data center and co-location setup

Network & Security Management

  1. Manage enterprise networks including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, switches, and internet connectivity.
  2. Administer security platforms including endpoint protection, email security, SIEM, vulnerability management, and access control systems.
  3. Monitor security alerts and coordinate incident response activities.
  4. Assist in implementing cybersecurity policies, standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Cloud Infrastructure

  1. Administer cloud environments including Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Alibaba Cloud.
  2. Support cloud migration, infrastructure optimization, backup, disaster recovery, and security hardening.
  3. Monitor cloud resource usage and recommend cost optimization opportunities.
  4. Coordinate with service providers on cloud infrastructure support and troubleshooting.

IT Operations & Support

  1. Provide Level 2/Level 3 support for infrastructure-related incidents and service requests.
  2. Perform root-cause analysis for system outages and performance issues.
  3. Maintain infrastructure documentation, asset inventory, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
  4. Participate in after-hours support, maintenance activities, and emergency incident response.

Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

  1. Manage backup systems and recovery procedures.
  2. Conduct periodic disaster recovery and business continuity testing.
  3. Ensure critical systems meet recovery objectives and operational resilience requirements.

Vendor & Project Management

  1. Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and business stakeholders.
  2. Evaluate infrastructure solutions and participate in procurement activities.
  3. Support infrastructure upgrade, cloud adoption, cybersecurity, and digital transformation projects.

Prepare project documentation, implementation plans, and management reports.

Requirements:

Education

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related disciplines.

Experience

  1. Minimum 10–15 years of hands-on experience in enterprise infrastructure administration.
  2. Experience in financial institutions, securities firms, or regulated environments is highly preferred.
  3. Proven experience managing:
  4. Windows Server and Linux platforms
  5. Microsoft 365 and Azure
  6. Enterprise firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto)
  7. Virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V)
  8. Networking technologies (TCP/IP, VPN, Routing, Switching)
  9. Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions
  10. Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Alibaba Cloud)

Technical Skills (Hands-on)

  1. Microsoft 365 Administration
  2. Windows and Linux administration skills
  3. Email Gateway Security
  4. Remote workspace implementation
  5. Active Directory / Entra ID/ SAML SSO
  6. VMware Administration
  7. PowerShell scripting and automation
  8. Server and storage administration
  9. Network troubleshooting (vlan, network routing, bgp, vpn, etc)
  10. Supporting cybersecurity operations (e.g. patching, log configuration, etc)
  11. Cloud architecture and services
  12. Backup and recovery management
  13. Monitoring and logging platforms
