(Assistant) Manager, Financial Reporting | General Insurance (Big 4 is welcome)

Our client, a well-established general insurance company in Hong Kong, is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee financial reporting, regulatory reporting and finance-related compliance matters. The role will play a key part in IFRS 17 reporting and the Hong Kong Risk-Based Capital regime.

1. Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and closing processes.
2. Prepare statutory accounts, management reports and regulatory submissions.
3. Support the implementation and ongoing reporting requirements of IFRS 17.
4. Manage financial reporting and capital-related requirements under the Hong Kong RBC regime.
5. Liaise with auditors, actuaries, regulators and other external stakeholders.
6. Support budgeting, forecasting and other finance projects as required.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
2. Qualified accountant with HKICPA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
3. At least 3 years of relevant accounting or financial reporting experience.
4. Experience within general insurance or the wider insurance industry is highly preferred.
5. Practical knowledge of IFRS 17 and Hong Kong RBC requirements.
6. Strong technical accounting, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
7. Proficiency in English and Chinese.
