What You'll Be Doing
You will be the core technical driver responsible for stabilizing and transferring our global data assets.
- Lead Pipeline Migrations: Refactor and transition legacy pipelines into a modernized cloud-native data landscape, ensuring minimal disruption to regional business operations.
- Ingest Multi-Vertical Data: Build and manage high-volume, resilient ELT pipelines capable of handling highly disparate data streams (ranging from F&B inventory and transactional retail data to event bookings and multi-property operational logs).
- Solidify the Core Foundation: Establish clean, standardized, and repeatable data engineering frameworks that convert complex, raw data into high-integrity, analytics-ready models.
- Global Collaboration: Interface with cross-functional and regional teams across various business lines to map data dependencies and build robust ingestion frameworks that adhere to international governance standards.
Who You Are
You are a highly pragmatic, "hands-on" engineer who thrives in the execution phase of a major technical shift. You possess the scale-minded perspective needed to work across a large conglomerate but are eager to focus your energy on raw pipeline construction and data migration.
Your Profile & Technical Toolkit:
- Experience: 4+ years of solid data engineering experience, ideally with a background in a conglomerate, multi-subsidiary enterprise, or complex-structured environment.
- Cloud Data Ecosystem: Deep, hands-on production experience with AWS and Snowflake infrastructure.
- Transformation Tools: Proven track record utilizing Data Build Tool (dbt) for modern data modeling and transformation workflows.
- Development Practices: Expert fluency in Python, with a strong professional preference for developing within PyCharm.
- The Migration Mindset: You excel at breaking down monolithic legacy setups, mapping structural dependencies, and systematically migrating data without loss of velocity or accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent in Cantonese and English
