Head of Engineering (Full-Stack TypeScript)

Your new company is a well-established family office seeking CTO experience in Typescript in large application codebases.

Your new role

• Own and evolve a large TypeScript mono repo across backend, frontend, shared services, and internal tools.
• Deliver product enhancements for internal and external-facing applications
• Maintain and improve APIs, background workers, integrations, and operational tooling
• Work across React, Next.js, and domain-specific frontend workflows
• Support production systems across cloud infrastructure, deployments, and monitoring
• Drive ongoing improvements in developer experience, documentation, and system reliability
• Contribute to AI-enabled workflows, automation, and internal tools

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong experience with TypeScript in large-scale applications
• Proficiency across Node.js (Express) and React / Next.js
• Solid production experience with cloud environments (AWS), databases, logging, and deployments
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and distributed systems debugging
• Ability to work with complex, domain-heavy systems and ship safe, incremental improvements
