Head of IT Audit - Banking & Financial Service

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive, risk-based IT audit plan aligned with business and regulatory priorities.
• Lead and manage the IT Audit team, providing direction, coaching, and performance oversight
• Conduct audits covering IT infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, cloud environments, and data governance
• Evaluate the effectiveness of IT controls and recommend practical improvements
• Ensure compliance with applicable banking regulations and standards (e.g., HKMA, Basel, internal policies)
• Collaborate with senior management, business stakeholders, regulators, and external auditors
• Provide independent assurance on IT risk management and internal control frameworks
• Drive innovation within the audit function through data analytics and automation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in IT Audit, IT Risk, or Technology Risk Management within the banking or financial services industry
• Proven leadership experience in managing audit teams at a senior level
• Strong knowledge of IT governance and control frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001)
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity, cloud computing, and digital banking technologies
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CPA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior executives
• Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin preferred)
