Regional Information Security Consultant - Financial Service

We are looking for a seasoned Regional Information Security Consultant to drive cybersecurity initiatives across our Financial Services operations in Asia-Pacific. This role will partner with business, technology, and risk teams to strengthen security posture, ensure regulatory compliance, and support secure digital transformation. You will act as a trusted advisor, providing strategic and technical security guidance across multiple countries and regulatory environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end information security advisory to regional business and IT stakeholders
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and governance frameworks aligned with industry best practices (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS)
• Conduct risk assessments, security reviews, and gap analyses
• Support compliance with regional regulatory requirements (e.g., HKMA, MAS, APRA)
• Advise on cloud, application, and infrastructure security design
• Collaborate with project teams to embed security-by-design principles
• Support incident response, investigation, and remediation activities
• Monitor emerging threats and provide proactive risk mitigation recommendations
• Deliver security awareness and training programmes across the region
• Liaise with auditors, regulators, and third-party vendors

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CRISC are preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese
• 5-10 years of experience in information security, preferably within financial services, banking, or consulting
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity domains (network, cloud, IAM, data protection, endpoint security)
• Experience with regional regulatory compliance and audits
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders across multiple markets
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a regional, fast-paced environment
• Business-focused mindset with strong risk awareness
