Vice President, Credit Administration & Loan Operation - Foreign Corporate & Private Bank

Our client is a stable and well-established foreign corporate & private bank in Hong Kong. They are currently looking for a VP, Credit Administration & Loan Operation (Corporate & Commercial Banking) to expand their capacity in Hong Kong.

Reporting directly to the Head of Operation, you will be managing a team of specialist to oversee the bank’s Credit Administration & Loan Operation function for the Corporate Banking business.

Responsibilities

1. Manage a team of credit administration specialist to review the documentations (loan/ guarantee/ security/ derivatives, etc), and to ensure all terms and conditions as well as security arrangements are properly structured according to the bank’s policy.
2. Oversee the corporate banking loan operation function to ensure a smooth delivery of services to internal stakeholders
3. Ability to review loan documents thoroughly and identify any errors, inconsistencies, or missing information;
4. To work closely with other departments for loan draw down and other operation activities;
5. Liaise with legal counsels and marketing units to ensure proper and efficient operations of credit administration work;
6. Monitor & follow up documentation deficiency and outstanding loan documents;
7. Maintain the documentation tracking and filing system;
8. Ensure the collateral, securities documents, conditions precedent, financial covenants and insurance documents are complied with loan agreements & statutory requirement
9. Covenant monitoring on relevant facilities
10. Provide review reports to relevant parties & head office
11. Collaborate with other teams on risk control through proper credit checking procedure
12. Coordinate with internal stakeholders for data matching, TU/CCRA checking to ensure a high standard of risk control
13. Coordinate the team to submit relevant credit data & report with CCRA & TU
14. Correspondence to branch and HQ enquiries, requirements and ad hoc events from loans related parties;

Requirements:

1. Degree or above
2. 10 years + experience in Credit Administration and Loan Operation in Corporate/ Commercial Banking Industry with solid experience on reviewing loan documentations with at least 5 years of managerial experience
3. Prior credit administration experience on syndicated loan/ bilateral loan would be highly preferable
4. Knowledge of loan documentation, procedures and relevant requirement
5. Good command of written and spoken English.
6. Good knowledge of MS Office
