Job Description
As an Assistant IT Infrastructure Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
- Managing and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and systems.
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Ensuring system security by implementing and monitoring cybersecurity measures.
- Performing regular system updates, backups, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborating with the Technology department to implement new IT solutions and upgrades.
- Documenting system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
- Monitoring system performance and addressing any potential issues proactively.
- Supporting business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
A successful Assistant IT Infrastructure Manager should have:
- Higher Diploma or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure planning, implementation, administration, and support.
- Solid experience in managing and supporting WAN/LAN environments, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, SAN/NAS storage, and TCP/IP networking.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Windows Server and Linux operating systems
- Virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Docker)
- Database platforms (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL)
- Cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills with the ability to work independently and proactively.
- Excellent communication skills with good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
