Product Controller (Global Markets) | Foreign Investment Banks

Overview

We are seeking experienced Product Controllers (Associate to VP) for multiple global investment banks. Depending on candidates' background, you will support either Equities, Prime / Delta One, Fixed Income/ Structured Credit, or investment banking businesses across Asia Pac. The role partners closely with Front Office, Risk, Operations and Finance to ensure accurate P&L reporting, robust controls and sound valuation governance.

1. Produce and validate P&L, ensuring accurate revenue attribution and analysis.
2. Review and interpret P&L movements, trading activity, market impacts and balance sheet fluctuations.
3. Partner with trading desks and business management to provide financial analysis and performance insights.
4. Perform valuation reviews, IPV and assessment of valuation adjustments/reserves.
5. Review and substantiate balance sheet accounts
6. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, regulatory requirements and internal control standards.
7. Participate in new product approvals and provide guidance on accounting and financial impacts.
8. Drive process improvements, automation initiatives and enhancement of reporting and control frameworks.

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
2. CPA, CA, ACCA or CFA qualifications preferred.
3. 5-10 years of Product Control, Valuation Control, or Markets Finance experience gained from global investment banks
4. Proven knowledge of one or more asset classes including Equities, Prime/ Delta One, Fixed Income/ Structured Credit, IBD
5. Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
6. Experience with Excel, SQL, Python, VBA or reporting tools is advantageous.
