We are seeking a DBA Technical Lead to provide expert database support and design capability, enabling the Solution Architect to focus on broader architecture work, with deep expertise in GaussDB or PostgreSQL database design and multi-database hybrid deployment environments for a leading financial firm.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level database support and design capability, acting as the technical authority for database engineering.
• Enable the Solution Architect to focus on broader architecture by owning database-specific design, implementation, and operational excellence.
• Design and architect database solutions using GaussDB or PostgreSQL, ensuring performance, scalability, and high availability.
• Manage a multi-database environment, supporting hybrid deployment models (on-premise and cloud).
• Oversee database migration, upgrade, and consolidation initiatives across the organization.
• Troubleshoot complex database issues, including performance tuning, query optimization, and disaster recovery planning.
• Establish and enforce database standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and cloud teams to ensure seamless database integration.
• Support public cloud deployments on AWS and Ali Cloud as needed.

Key Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in DBA engineering and architecture.
• Deep subject matter expertise in GaussDB or PostgreSQL database design and architecture.
• Proven experience in multi-database environment handling and supporting hybrid deployments.
• Strong knowledge of database performance tuning, backup and recovery, and high-availability configurations.
• Fluency in Cantonese and English - able to communicate effectively with local and regional stakeholders.
• Experience in financial services or exchange environments (preferred).
