Overview:

• A global tier 1 long-only asset manager is seeking an Asia Financials Equities Analyst to join its investment team.
• The role focuses on fundamental equity research across the Asia financials sector, supporting portfolio construction and investment decisions.
• The analyst will work closely with portfolio managers, contributing high-quality insights on banks, insurers, and diversified financials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth fundamental research on Asia financials companies, fin tech, including banks and insurance firms
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation frameworks
• Generate investment ideas and present recommendations to portfolio managers
• Monitor sector developments, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic trends
• Engage with company management teams and industry experts
• Support portfolio construction and risk assessment processes

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in equities research
• Coverage experience within financials sector or broader equities
• Open to both buyside and sell-side backgrounds
• Strong financial modelling and Excel-based analytical skills
• Fluency in both Chinese and English
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate investment views clearly
