Our client is a premier, tier-one international banking group with a strong market presence in Hong Kong and across Asia. They are expanding their technology team to upgrade and maintain core enterprise applications that support critical financial operations. This position is a 6-month extendable contract with high renewal potential.
Key Responsibilities
Our client is a premier, tier-one international banking group with a strong market presence in Hong Kong and across Asia. They are expanding their technology team to upgrade and maintain core enterprise applications that support critical financial operations. This position is a 6-month extendable contract with high renewal potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive system development and enhancement projects for core Corporate Banking and Custody platforms.
- Gather user requirements and create detailed functional and technical design specifications.
- Supervise development teams to guarantee code quality and deliver projects on schedule.
- Perform hands-on software development, testing, and system maintenance.
- Partner with external vendors to ensure deliverables stay within scope and budget.
- Oversee quality assurance and end-to-end testing processes across the software life cycle.
- Degree holder or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of solid experience in software engineering, ideally in a lead capacity.
- Hands-on proficiency in Java, JMS, WebSphere, Oracle, SQL, MQ, Python, UNIX, AIX, and Shell Scripting.
- Domain knowledge in Corporate Banking, Custody, Corporate Trust, or Agency Business is highly preferred.
- Solid grasp of the full SDLC, system architecture design, and QA testing practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong communication in English and Chinese (Mandarin is a plus).
