Job description
Ant International is a leading global digital payment and financial technology provider, enabling trusted cross-border commerce and financial connectivity.
The Chief System Assurance Officer (CSAO) organization is responsible for establishing a Global Sovereign System Assurance Framework, ensuring that Ant International's cross-border payment systems are intrinsically Visible, Controllable, Verifiable, Auditable, and Sustainable.
The Senior System Assurance Expert - Cross-Border will lead to design, build, and operate AI agents that automate cross-border system assurance by embedding data sovereignty, regulatory compliance, and jurisdiction-aware controls directly into Ant International's global payment infrastructure.
The role is responsible for developing AI-powered assurance capabilities that continuously monitor, validate, and enforce cross-border system controls, ensuring payment systems remain Visible, Controllable, Verifiable, Auditable, and Sustainable (VCVAS) across multiple sovereign domains.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop AI agents that automate cross-border system assurance and regulatory control enforcement.
• Build AI-driven workflows to continuously monitor cross-border data access, processing, and transfer activities.
• Translate regulatory requirements into machine-readable policies and AI-executable controls.
• Develop AI agents that automatically detect, assess, and remediate cross-border compliance risks.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Security, Privacy, Legal, Compliance, and Infrastructure teams to embed AI assurance into system architecture.
• Build evidence-generation capabilities that continuously produce regulator-ready assurance artifacts.
• Contribute to the evolution of Ant International's AI-native System Assurance Platform.
Key Deliverables
• Real-time global data assurance map (no "black box")
• Fully implemented cross-border data control framework
• Complete regulator-grade compliance evidence for data flows
• Demonstrated compliance with GDPR and global data sovereignty requirements
Job Requirement
Required Qualifications & Experience
1. AI Agent Engineering for Cross-Border System Assurance
• Experience building AI agents, LLM applications, or autonomous workflows for security, compliance, or infrastructure.
• Familiarity with AI frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, OpenAI Agents SDK, or equivalent.
• Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), MCP, orchestration, and agent evaluation.
2. Data Sovereignty & Cross-Jurisdiction Controls
• Understanding of GDPR, UK GDPR, PIPL, CLOUD Act, DORA, and regional data localization requirements.
• Knowledge of cross-border data governance and sovereign cloud architectures.
• Experience designing jurisdiction-aware control logic.
3. Regulatory Knowledge to AI Automation
• Ability to translate legal and regulatory requirements into AI-executable policies and automated workflows.
• Experience developing policy engines or compliance automation solutions.
• Knowledge of Security-by-Design and Compliance-by-Design principles.
4. AI-Based Control & Assurance Model Design
• Design AI agents that continuously:
• Discover compliance gaps
• Assess cross-border risks
• Recommend or execute remediation
• Generate auditable evidence
• Experience with policy-as-code, infrastructure-as-code, or automated control validation is highly desirable.
5. Multi-Region AI Operating Model
• Experience building distributed systems or cloud-native platforms across multiple regions.
• Understanding of sovereign cloud architectures and regional deployment models.
• Ability to design AI agents that operate consistently across different regulatory jurisdictions.
Preferred Qualifications
• BS/MS in Computer Science, AI, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 5-10 years of software engineering, cloud engineering, AI engineering, or security engineering experience.
• Experience with:
• Python
• Kubernetes
• Public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba Cloud)
• APIs and microservices
• Security automation
• Familiarity with NIST CSF 2.0, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, DORA, or similar frameworks.
• Experience building AI solutions for cybersecurity, compliance, or risk management is a strong plus.
Leadership & Personal Attributes
