We have been mandated by a foreign-headquartered services firm on a Counsel opening in its Hong Kong office. As a key member of the legal team, you will partner with stakeholders across multiple international offices, supporting a broad range of commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters.
Your new role
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements with clients, vendors, and business partners.
- Develop and maintain internal policies, governance frameworks, and compliance processes.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to manage legal, regulatory, and operational risks.
- Advise on a broad range of legal matters, including technology, data privacy, intellectual property, employment, sanctions, and tax-related issues.
- Manage disputes, complaints, and contentious matters arising from client engagements.
What you'll need to succeed
- Hong Kong or Common Law qualified lawyer with approximately 1-3 years' PQE gained from a reputable law firm or in-house legal team.
- Candidates currently in private practice are welcome to apply.
- Strong English and business-level Chinese language skills, including Cantonese and Mandarin.
- Ability to work independently and act as a trusted legal advisor and subject matter expert to the business.
